#WomanStrong Nonprofit is the product of faith and a spirit of perseverance in spite of tribulation.

Having already lost a brother to cancer and then being faced with another family member's sickness among other things, Carlishia Brooks was doing what she could hold on. She knew what was necessary and made the tough decision to begin a thorough healing process from trauma that left its mark for too long. In doing so, our Chairman of the Board recognized that she wanted to transparently tell her story and locate and extend resources to people working to heal from and move past their respective life experiences. Since its start in 2019, #WomanStrong has managed to reach and connect with hundreds of women and families through social media, community partnerships, and events. This is only the beginning of our work.
